Music in the Parks:
Elitch Gardens

In May, we take a trip to Denver to compete and spend the day at the Elitch Gardens Theme Park.

This gives our students a chance to sing with members from various choirs, perform challenging music, and compete against choirs from around the state, all while team-building and creating fun memories at the park!

Parent Letter:

2023

On May 6th, 2023, the Sand Creek High School Choir Program will be participating in the Music in the Parks Festival at Elitch Gardens in Denver! The group will perform and earn a rating from a panel of judges. We will be performing that morning and then spend the rest of the day at the park. This is an optional activity and is open to all Choir students. Please read the information below. We do need chaperones. If you are interested in helping out, please contact Ms. Swisher if you are available!

Rehearsals

Because this opportunity is open to all Choir students, our ensemble will be made up of singers from several ensembles. This will mean that participating students will need to rehearse festival music in after-school rehearsals. By signing at the bottom of the page, both parents and students acknowledge the following rehearsal dates and times (which are subject to change at the director’s discretion), and that they are Mandatory rehearsals. Students agree to practice at home on non-rehearsal days. You also agree to the payment option you choose and will be obligated to pay that money if you cancel after February 8th. There is also a parent/student meeting for the trip on April 4th from 5:30-6:30pm. Students and parents should be there!
